Oprah Winfrey Back on Top

After a two year stretch the Oprah Winfrey Network ended 2013 achieving top ratings! The network received double digit growth for the second consecutive year.

OWN stated, via press release, that it delivered a 16% increase in Women ages 25-54, a 21% increase in total viewers and a 76% increase in African American Women ages 25-54 in primetime compared to 2012.

OWN’s popular Saturday night lineup includes top six original series for African American Women ages 25-54: Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, Iyanla: Fix My Life, Houston Beauty, Six Little McGhees, Raising Whitley, and Life with La Toya

Iyanla: Fix My Life ranked as the #2 Saturday night original series in all television for African Americans Women ages 25-54. The show earned double digits among Women ages 25-54 and total viewers compared to the prior season.

Hopefully, OWN’s ratings will continue grow well into 2014. I am sure we all look forward to more original series and celebrity interviews.
